Welcome to 'Meet the Team'

Here at Expedite we put great value on our people; without them we wouldn't be able to deliver our superb work. We're now throwing them into the spotlight so you can get to know the people behind the code. This week we have a chat with….Katie Butters.

What is your role within Expedite?

I am Expedite's HR Manager. This is a standalone role which covers all aspects of HR, to include recruitment, benefits, employment law and HR compliance, organisational structure, and learning and development. I am also Expedite's Mental Health First Aider. 

What does your day to day look like?

My day is extremely varied which is one of the reasons why I love my job. I could not work without lists. My day to day very much depends on what is required for the business at that time, for example recently we have had a huge recruitment drive taking on several new employees!

What is your team like?

It is just me, however I do work closely with our Team Leaders and Heads of Department.

What have been your biggest accomplishments on your team in the last 3 months?

Sourcing our new recruits! We have recently had some great additions to the team.

How have you grown professionally while working with Expedite?

Whilst working at Fusion I have become a qualified CIPD practitioner, something which Fusion supported me to do. 

What are you looking forward to working on in the future?

I am looking forward to working on enhancing our training offerings for our people.

What does the next 3 months look like for you?

We have some further recruitment for a CRM Developer, and a number of social events for our employees that I have organised- 2 brilliant team building days coming up later this month (keep your eyes peeled on our social media as we will be sharing the exciting details!) Tea and Talk for World Mental Health day and our Christmas Party!
